Lasa with its harbours of Oris, Cengles, Alliz and Tanas, lies at 868 metres above sea level amidst the Venosta Valley and is known for its white marble.

The village offers numerous walks, extensive hikes and demanding alpine tours (i. e. the Lasa Peak with a height of 3,305 m).

In addition to two tennis courts you can enjoy long cycling paths, which connect several communities with each other, and several possibilities for hang-gliding.

Those who want to escape everyday life for a few hours will find time for thoughts and recreation on the path of reflection in Tanas with its sculptures.

Asparagus Weeks in Kastelbell
From 15th April to 13th May 2012 will take place in Val Venosta the Asparagus weeks with some of most delicious dishes.

Alternative tour of the 11 cities
from 6th to 11th february 2012 - In occasion of the " alternative tour of the 11 cities" , 250 Dutch skaters will have the opportunity to skate on the frozen lake Resia, in Val Venosta. From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. it is possible to do 16 tours of the lake.
