Malles & Burgusio in Vinschgau Valley

>> Lodgings in Malles & Burgusio <<

Malles, (1,500 m) is the sunny principal village of the Upper Venosta Valley. Thanks to the mild and dry climate it is an ideal holiday destination for the entire family all year round.
Malles and its surroundings provide new adventures for nature lovers every day and those who are interested in art will be amazed by the well preserved monuments from Carolingian and Roman times.

The Watles, above the Malles harbour of Pramajur is a popular ski resort in winter and a wonderful hiking paradise in summer. From here you can enjoy a great panoramic view of the entire Upper Venosta Valley basin and over to the glaciers of the Ötztaler and the Stubaier Alps, and of the Ortles and Sesvanna Mountains.

From the Watles car park you can reach the sunny alpine plateau with a double chairlift.
From here you can choose one of the well sign-posted paths to the most beautiful destinations.

However, also the villages on the other side of the valley, which are part of Malles, like Planol or Mazia, offer alpine tours in an incredibly beautiful landscape and a lot to discover too.
Every harbour of Malles has its very special charm. Clean villages in almost untouched nature, many of which have preserved the character of true Tyrolean villages up to this day.
